Grozny schoolchildren will compete for the title of chess champion
The final of the chess championship among school students of the Chechen Republic will take place on November 11 in the pavilion of the Chechen State TV and Radio Company «Grozny».
The event is organized under the auspices of the Chess Federation of the Chechen Republic, the Ministry of National Policy, External Relations, Press and Information of the Chechen Republic, as well as the Ministry of Education and Science of the Chechen Republic.
It is noted that during the championship, more than 3000 schoolchildren from different cities and districts of the republic demonstrated their skills. In the final of the competition, the 36 best chess players who passed the municipal selections will compete. They will compete in two age groups: students from grades 1-6 and 7-11.
The goal of the championship is to stimulate children and teenagers’ interest in chess, develop their intellectual abilities, and promote a healthy lifestyle. Winners can expect valuable prizes from the championship’s general partner, the company «Tricolor», including cash rewards, televisions, and modern equipment. Special incentives are also provided for coaches whose students take the top spots in the competitions.
